When to visit Cape Town

South Africa’s summer runs between December and February, making these months peak time to visit Cape Town. You can expect glorious sunny weather and the city thriving, but be aware that this is also the most popular time to visit Cape Town so the streets are more than likely to be very busy. A great option is to go on holiday to Cape Town in the shoulder seasons, which are from March until May and September until November. During these months, you can expect fantastic weather but less crowds, meaning you can enjoy all of the attractions without the queues. Be aware that you may find yourself caught up in a short shower, but these tend to pass pretty quickly and you’ll dry off in no time.
